Gift idea

With Topher flying in next Tuesday (Yes again), and Mike hunting for a good fare. I thought of all the trips to and from Las Vegas to see The Teenagers.
Fathers Day is this month, so why don't all us kids just pitch in and buy a plane.. I found one used. so it's cheap!

$695,000.00
Sure its old but only $99,285.51 each!

Add a chick with attitude.Cause its fun to mess with Bitches.

A cool Cat pilot! (They work for mice and scraps)

Or a baby orangutan if you prefer. That is just amusing.

And of course safety first!

Something to think about... No more full body scans or security... bring what you want!

Avoid this...

For this!

Start getting that money in the mail and we can get Dad a real fun Fathers Day gift!
(Make sure the ink is dry)

Sometimes its good to smile

Dad likes to watch Jay Leno and his silly bits with J-walking and stupid things that make it in print.( I am more of a Letterman kind of girl.)
Thought I would post a few for him and Mom...
A smile or two are in order.

With all the pain pills, it's a real danger.

That is cruel.

Purell! I keep telling ya.

That damn carpet tunnel is so tricky.
Men use their groins for the dumbest things..

Finally something for those HTM.

Could be worse.. could have wrote tail.

Ouch

Hate it when a whole community turns ugly.
Thank you Internet for having everything!
And thank you spell check for not correcting stupid.

I remember..

On this Memorial day, I thought I would post this picture.. I know many of my siblings haven't seen it.

Thanks to Cousin Brandi for making this.
It's a great tribute to Grandma Ruby and her love for her God and Church. The stained glass that she gave generously to the American Fork Presbyterian Church.
Long before Grandma and Ken moved to American Fork I remember that church.
First when I was real young realizing it was not a Mormon Church, and wondering what kind of heathens went there.

Later as a preteen I had gone to services with Grandma in Port Orchard, WA. I was jealous, because I knew they had real grape juice, in little glass cups, not warm water in funny tasting papery cups for sacrament.
I knew the basement smelled of coffee and cookies!

I would walk by that church on my way to the library, always fascinated by who went there. Who was brave enough to be a Non-Mormon in Utah.
As a Teen I sat across the street and watched a film crew, they were making a silly little film. Footloose.

When Granny and Ken moved to Utah I finally found out what kind of folks went to that Church. The best kind of folks!
Sadly the only time I went inside was for her Memorial service.

Monday is also The Teenagers Grandsons high school Graduation

Wait.... I know he is Sarahs little boy, but......

But Chad looks so grown up.

Congradulations!

The classics

Anyone who knows Dad, (or Mike) knows that he loves old cars.
Mom heard on the radio that the Cannery Casino was hosting a classic car show. This afternoon we thought we would trek down Craig Road and check out the chrome.

Reno hosts a three day event that has thousands of car freaks showing off seat beltless death traps.
Poodle skirts and horrific music included.

This wasn't anything near that spectacle.

Mom didn't know when it started.
We figured around three in the afternoon would be a good time. Wrong.
It's the desert and it's hot. Outdoor fun in Vegas is for night owls.
Cars were just getting there. We dropped him off. (No handicapped parking anywhere near.)

That is just mean.

By the time I parked the car and we made our way back to where the "Show" was. He was done looking.

Did they not anticipate a older crowd might come and want to look at the cars?

O brother where art thou?

Hey there are no Brothers in the house... Sad.
Topher left early yesterday morning.

Then he went to work, a full 8 hours.. He must love the teenagers to schedule that kind of day.

But forget about him.. we had things to do after he left.
Last night was the block get together..

We had it outside in the backyard..
Lots of folks gathered... I guess Mom and Dad had a good idea..
They were all excited to meet each other.. Bitch a little, but mostly it was folks just getting to know their neighbors..
Sadly the crazy neighbor we do know didn't show... I would have liked that entertainment factor.

I hope she wasn't watching us.
Everyone thanked The Teenagers before they left, (Two hours later)
They were the King and Queen of Rhinelander!

Work then play..

Today Topher had to earn his keep.
Dad wasn't feeling all that great so we hung out around the house.. making a pretty Udell Shrine.

Mom trusted him with a hammer????

Dad brought us a tape measure.. we pretended we knew how to use it.
"Hold it up and I will act like I am reading it."

Way too proud of a job eh, done.
(That's a lot of pictures)
This afternoon, Mom went to Dr. Dreamy...
She may have to have some things re-done. (Should have bought the extended warranty.)

Dad was starting to feel better, so we went out to the International Market.  Their new tourist attraction.

Chestnut cream is not as good as it sounds.... Wait! Topher made me say that.. never sounded good to me.
Apricot butter, on the other hand, is rather good.

I would rather eat Haggis.

We are going to miss this freaky, but fabulous guy!

It's your Birthday!

Guess who is having a Birthday?
I will give you a hint..
By tomorrow she will be cut off from the world.
No phone, no wi-fi, no real electricity...
She and her man are off to the Island... Where they can catch their next dinner and stare off into the sunset.
Say happy Birthday now, before she goes back to 1864.

A Afternoon... then night at the new mall

Are we in Vegas or Trivoli?
This morning Dad and I picked Topher up.. Yay we get to play!
We thought it would be fun to go to the new mall. It is all dressed to resemble Italy.

But we didn't care so much about the fancy shops, and over priced eateries.

We found a playground!

Not one real child in sight..

All playgrounds are required to teach pole dancing in Vegas.

A 37 year old shouldn't have such fun on a plastic slide.. Go golf or something.

Don't tell Mom!... Oh wait, guess who is taking the picture?

Where is Topher? I can't see him.

Mommy will catch you!.. Poor Mommy.

My turn!

The indigenous Vegas Neon tree in the daylight.

Then after Midnight!

He can't help it, he has to know what is up there...  Still waiting for him to come back down.
