See ya later.... (In six months)

This morning was Dads surgery.
Strange to think that just a year ago, Dad was wanting to go on a diet, get rid of a few retirement pounds.
Fast forward to today and he was going under to insert a stent so he could eat more and hopefully gain some weight.

Sometimes you just can't win.
A stent is just basically mesh tubing that keeps a blocked passage open.

Something like this.
When the doctor went in and got a better look, he decided that the opening in his stomach was indeed wide enough and he did not need the thing.
"No stent for you!"
Dr Pada told Dad that they would take another look at it in six months then in a year.
Dad told him that probably wouldn't happen but he liked his attitude...
Here is to hoping he gets to make those appointments.

I like all the staff at Centennial Hospital. Once again they proved caring and concerned... It took Topher about two seconds to notice the difference between there and Scummerlin Hospital.

They make you want to break out in song!

They did put him under, but he came out of the anesthesia pretty easily.
About a hour after we got him home, Topher and I went to Target.. He wanted to come with us..
"No Dad."
"I'll wait in the car." (It's almost 100 degrees out.)
Maybe he was still a little loopy.

Tonight we pick up Josh and Mike!

Shout out to Josh.. He is one understanding brother-in-law... Topher picked a winner.

He is a perfect fit for this family!
