Let's fly away.

One of the things on Dads bucket list has been a helicopter ride.

With all the friends and family visiting, trips to Hoover Dam have become frequent.
Along the way is the huge sign advertising a $29.95 copter ride.
Sweet!

Yay!
After several attempts to take the ride, today was the day!
(Previous trips were foiled by the wind.)

4 please!
After a brief safety lesson we were ready to fly!

That's our ride.. No ducking under the rotors necessary.

Weeeeeeeee! We are flying.

Look at Tophers door. It opened on take off.  Safety instructions didn't cover how to close the door.
Up, up and a waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...... what?
Wait...
Up up and were are coming back down.
Apparently $29.95 buys you about 2 minutes fly time. And a cranky pilot who blamed Topher for the open door.  Out of character for him, I know, but he didn't touch the door..... as instructed.

The short lived thrill was behind us.

Off to the dam Dam!

This cannot end well.

It was a good day.
But now it is a sad night because all the boys went for the longer air ride, and have gone home.
House is quiet and Mom and Dad are already missing their boys.

The do have the up coming girls visits to look forward to. Sarah and Marti are going to come this way!
